Actual or attempted consumption or possession sanctioned by imprisonment of between 1 and 5 years and a fine. Cultivation can receive a 6 - 10 year sentence with a fine.
Law No. 2017-39 states article 53 of the penal code is not implemented regarding narcotics infringements, giving judges the right to reduce related penalties.
